Woman hospitalised in Stockton after being hit by van
Emergency services were called to Durham Road/Orde Wingate Way at 4.50pm on December 13. It happened next to the Royal Mail North East mail sorting depot. Paramedics treated the patient at the scene before taking her to hospital.
Ambulance crews remained at the scene until shortly after 7pm when the casualty was taken to hospital. A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a transit van around 4:50pm on Wednesday 13th December on Durham Road/Orde Wingate Way in Stockton. “The female pedestrian, aged in her thirties, was taken to hospital with suspected pelvic injuries and remains in hospital whilst receiving treatment.

A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 4:48pm to a road traffic incident between a van and a pedestrian at the junction of Durham Road and Orde Wingate Road, Stockton.
“We dispatched a clinical team leader and a double crewed ambulance and one person was taken to North Tees Hospital.”
