Woman in her 70s struck by car in hit and run
A woman in her 70s was rushed to hospital after being struck by a car in a hit and run. The incident took place today, at around 2.10pm, on Smithdown Road[1], Wavertree[2], when a white Renault Clio hit a pedestrian. The car failed to stop at the scene and drove away.
Police and paramedics arrived and the woman was taken to hospital to be treated for what was described as minor injuries. Road closures were put in place but have since reopened.
Merseyside Police is urging anyone with information about the incident to contact @MerPolCC, 101 quoting log 480.
