Woman killed in crash on A442 in Telford as police appeal for footage

A woman died following a fatal crash in a village in Telford yesterday (Thursday, December 7). Emergency services were called to reports of a crash between two cars, both Peugeot vehicles, on the A442 in the village of Crudgington on Thursday morning. A woman, aged 46, was rushed to hospital but later died from her injuries.

The crash, involving a Peugeot 2008 and a black Peugeot Expert van, took place in the morning rush hour, West Mercia Police said. The A442 is a key road that passes through Worcestershire[1] and Shropshire. The force are now appealing for any witnesses or drivers with dashcam footage to come forward following the fatal incident.

Releasing a statement on December 8, a spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: “Officers are appealing for witnesses after a woman died following a fatal collision in Telford yesterday morning (Thursday 7 December) on the A442 in Crudgington. “Officers received reports of a two-car collision involving a Peugeot 2008 and a black Peugeot expert van at around 8am. Sadly, a 46-year-old woman later died from her injuries in hospital.

“Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or has dashcam footage, is asked to contact PC Helen OConnor by emailing quoting incident number 00071_I_07122023.
