Woman who died in crash that injured three others named by police
A woman who died in a car crash that also left three others injured has been named by police as they issued an appeal for information. Amanda McAulay was in a blue Peugeot 107 when it collided with a white Vauxhall Mokka on the A83, north of Tarbert at around midday on Friday. The 27-year-old from Lochgilphead died at the scene.
The three occupants from the Mokka, a 49-year-old woman, and two men, aged 57 and 19 years, were taken by air and road ambulances to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. Medical staff describe their conditions as serious but stable. Officers investigating the incident are appealing for information.
Sergeant Sean Dempsey, Road Policing Unit, said: "If anyone has dash-cam footage or information that may assist our investigation, please contact officers via 101."
The road reopened at around 7.30pm
