Women found dead in home after city e-scooter crash
A woman involved in a crash with her e-scooter has been found dead in a home in Aberdeen. Police are probing the unexplained death and are appealing for information regarding the collision shortly before her body was found. At around 2.20pm on Monday, November 27, police received a report of a 43-year-old woman found dead within a property in Mastrick Close.

Detectives have discovered that the woman had been involved in a crash while riding her black e-scooter on the previous Monday, November 20. The incident occurred around the corner from the property at around 5.20pm on Whitemyres Avenue. Police said it was unclear whether the collision contributed to the woman’s death but are asking anyone with information to come forward.

Sergeant Peter Henderson from Road Policing said: “While it is unclear at this stage whether the collision and any injuries the woman sustained contributed to her death, it is important that we establish the full circumstances of what happened. “I am appealing for anyone who was in Whitemyres Avenue around 5.20pm on Monday, November 20, and may have seen a woman riding a black e-scooter to please come forward. “In particular I would urge any motorists with dash-cams who were on the road to check their footage in case they have captured anything which could be of significance to our enquiries.
“Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1784 of Monday, November 27, 2023.”
