1 person killed, 3-year-old boy taken to hospital after Anne Arundel County crash

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD (WBFF) -- Police say a Baltimore man was killed and two others were injured, including a 3-year-old child, in an Anne Arundel County crash on Saturday morning. At 9:13AM, officers responded to southbound Shady Side Road near Halie Parkway for a crash. The investigation revealed a 2017 Nissan Rogue was traveling southbound on Shady Side Road when the driver Keshara Monet Monique Crippens, 26, failed to make the curve, left the roadway, and struck a utility pole.

Officials say the front seat passenger, 54-year-old Thomas Dudley Mollar, was pronounced dead at the scene by Anne Arundel County Fire officials. A child passenger, 3-year-old Karson Crippens, was transported to Children's National Hospital as a precaution. The driver was uninjured.

This crash is under investigation by the Traffic Safety Section.
