3 killed after unidentified vehicle hits bike, probe on
Kanpur: Three persons, including a minor boy, on a motorcycle were killed after their bike was hit by an unidentified vehicle on Kanpur-Sagar highway in Hamirpur district on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.The deceased were identified as Sharifuddin (16), son of Ramzani, Rohit (25) son of Kamta and Akash (28), son of Ajay, all residents of Ilahi Talab.The accident took place near Mawai village at around 1 am, said police.”The three used to work at Muskaan DJ and Light Establishment in Ali Nagar. On Tuesday evening, they went to play DJ in an event organised in Mawai village. Around 1 o’clock, they were going to Maudaha on a bike when the accident occured.
On the complaint of Akash’s father Ajay Kumar, a case has been registered against the unknown driver and a search has been launched for the vehicle.Circle officer (Sadar) Shreyas Tripathi said that Maudaha police have booked a case against an unidentified driver for causing deaths due to rash driving.”The bodies have been sent to the district hospital for postmortem. Police are investigating the actual cause of the accident, besides looking for an unidentified vehicle with which the accident happened.
