A1 Colsterworth live updates as crash involving lorry and car closes road

Traffic is queuing after a crash involving a lorry and a car closed a busy Lincolnshire road. The A1 has been closed southbound between Woolsthorpe and Colsterworth following a two-vehicle collision. The extent of any injuries is not yet clear, though eyewitnesses reported seeing the air ambulance in attendance.

The road was closed by Lincolnshire Police at around 3.30pm today (Friday, January 5). A spokesperson for the force asked motorists to avoid the area while emergency services dealt with the incident. According to the traffic monitoring service Inrix, traffic between Grantham and Stamford is affected.
