A419 fatal crash: Police reveal update on three arrested
A Vauxhall Astra – which police believe was stolen and was being pursued at the time – hit part of the M4 Junction 15 roundabout at around 11pm on Tuesday. A male teenager who was in the car died at the scene as a result of the injuries he sustained. Formal identification has not yet taken place.

Two other occupants of the vehicle – both women in their 20s – were arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without consent and have now been released under investigation. One lane of the M4 exit slip road and one lane of the A419 from the Commonhead roundabout to Junction 15 have reopened to traffic.
The other lane on the southbound carriageway remains closed so that emergency barrier repairs and accident investigation work can be carried out.
As the collision happened during a police pursuit, Wiltshire Police[8] has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct to launch an independent investigation into the incident.
The road was closed for more than 24 hours whilst investigations continued, reopening to traffic for the first time on Thursday morning.
