A46 car accident causes severe delays between Newark and Saxondale

A major road is partially closed due to an overturned vehicle. The A46 southbound between the Thorpe turn off and the Kneeton turn off is partially blocked as a car rolled over. The accident was first reported around 3.45pm today (January 16) on the AA traffic website.

It is affecting traffic between Newark and Saxondale.

Delays of 20 minutes and increasing were reported on Farndon roundabout northbound between the A46 and A1 - Newark Showground and Air Musuem turn off.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service are in attendance.

Drivers are expected to exercise patience and avoid the area if possible.
