A48 Cardiff blocked both ways after accident at Gabalfa Interchange

A key route through Cardiff is blocked both ways. Traffic monitoring service Inrix says that as of 10.36pm on Thursday, the A48 Eastern Avenue is blocked due to an accident at A470 North Road (Gabalfa Interchange). We understand the A48 Western Avenue is also affected.

The incident has been ongoing since around 9.20pm. One local resident said: “The A48 is closed in both directions underneath the Radyr Place flyover. The bridge itself is closed too.

Plenty of emergency services on scene.”
