A9 closed in both directions after ‘multi-vehicle collision’

The A9 has been closed in both directions near Inverness after a "multi-vehicle" collision. Emergency services were called to the road near Daviot, at around 7.20am on Thursday. Officers confirmed that the road is blocked in both directions after a crash involving multiple vehicles.

Drivers are being urged to find alternative routes and "take care" when driving. A police spokesperson said: "We are currently dealing with a multiple-vehicle collision on the #A9 near to Daviot, just south of Inverness. The road is currently blocked in both directions.
