Appeal for witnesses after police make three arrests outside pub

The incident took place approximately 9pm on Friday, December 22. (Image: Newsquest) POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information about an incident outside a Cumbrian pub. The incident took place at approximately 9pm on Friday, December 22 2023, outside The Kings Arms, Kirkby Stephen.

An investigation is currently underway in relation to two victims who were assaulted by three men outside the pub with the initial incident occurring in The Black Bull, Kirkby Stephen. Officers arrested three local men following the incident. Two were arrested on suspicion of assault and have since been bailed pending further enquiries.

A third man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault by touching and was released under investigation whilst officers carry out further enquiries.
