Arrest made with two injured after ‘serious’ crash on A2 in Eltham

Picture from scene of A2 crash (Image: Transport for London) An arrest has been made and two people were left injured after a crash on the A2 in Eltham. The incident between two vehicles happened in Rochester Way at around 3.10pm yesterday (January 11).

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found two people injured. The pair were treated and discharged at the scene. A man was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and dangerous driving.

He was taken into police custody. The incident caused severe delays in the area but this has since cleared, according to AA. A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called at 15:10hrs on 11 January to a collision involving two vehicles on the A2 at Falconwood.

"There were no reports of any serious injuries. "One man was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and dangerous driving. "He is in police custody."

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 3.26pm (11 January) to reports of a road traffic collision on East Rochester Way, Sidcup. "We sent an ambulance crew and an incident response officer to the scene. "We treated two patients before discharging them at the scene."
