Baby and two adults injured in New Year’s Day crash on A4 in Woolhampton
Police have appealed for witnesses to a car crash on the A4 which resulted in two adults and a baby being injured. At 9.40pm on New Years' Day (Monday), a white Porsche Taycan, driving eastbound on the A4 in Woolhampton, aquaplaned and collided with a black Ford Focus travelling in the opposite direction. The Porsche span into a wall and caused catastrophic damage to both vehicles.
Police appeal for information after baby and two adults injured in New Years' Day crash on A4 in WoolhamptonThree people, a 33-year-old man, 30-year-old woman and one-year-old girl, who were all in the Ford Focus, suffered minor injuries and required hospital treatment, but they have all since been discharged.
The driver of the Porsche, a 39-year-old man, was not injured, but was arrested on suspicion of driving while over the specified limit of a specified drug, dangerous driving and possession of a Class A-controlled drug.
He has been released under investigation. Investigating officer sergeant Matt Cadmore said: "I am appealing to anybody who witnessed the collision or the moments leading up to it to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police. "I would also ask anybody who may have dash-cam footage from the collision to please contact us.
