BBC Strictly Come Dancing’s Giovanni Pernice seen all smiles as he continues countdown with heartbroken co-star
Giovanni Pernice was seen smiling as he spent his weekend teaching others how to dance while his heartbroken Strictly Come Dancing[1] co-star counts down until they are back on stage together. Away from the BBC[2] One show's ballroom, Giovanni has launched a new project. Before the end of the year, Giovanni confirmed that he was still teaming up with fellow dancer and choreographer Pasquale La Rocca to create their official new venture.
While the pair have been running dance classes together for a while, they're taking their skills on the road and have named their joint venture Ballando. Announcing the news alongside a video on their new business page as well as their individual Instagram accounts, they wrote: "BALLANDO. We love the fact that so many of you want to dance with us, and we've seen and heard all the requests for more locations... so here you go!

We're so excited to take classes on the road with Let Me Entertain You, and can't wait to dance with you in your hometowns." They went on to reveal they'll be visiting the likes of Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham with the dates running from the end of January to the start of May.
In the latest Ballando post, Giovanni was seen beaming from ear-to-ear. It appeared to be a repost from a few days ago which showed Giovanni dancing towards the camera with a huge smile on his face. "Gio and Pasquale have as much fun as you all do!" the caption began. "Today also happens to be 3 years since @giovannipernice asked 'do you want to learn to dance with me' during lockdown ... and here we are now, with an ever growing dance family."
The post was shared on Ballando's Instagram page (Image: Ballando Instagram)In response to the video, Pasquale said: "Thank you everyone for bringing your energy and love for dancing in our classes." It comes as Giovanni continues the countdown to the start of his biggest solo tour to date. The 33-year-old will be joined by an ensemble cast as well as his 'leading lady' Lauren Oakley.
Lauren, who recently shared the heartbreaking news that her grandmother, who she described as her 'biggest fan' had died, is keeping busy by preparing for the shows and shared a picture of the pair from a previous tour which she simply captioned "4 days" on Sunday (January 14).
Giovanni's Let Me Entertain You tour kicks off later this week, on January 18, in Hayes at the Beck Theatre and travels up and down the country right through until the end of April where the tour will end at the New Victoria Theatre in Woking with the dance classes running alongside.
