Boston road closed by police after pedestrian struck by car
A Boston road was closed by police on Monday night (January 8) after a collision involving a pedestrian and car. Lincolnshire Police urged people to avoid the scene around Rosebery Avenue. The incident happened at just after 7pm, police said.
Rosebery Avenue was closed from the junction with Sleaford Road to Brother Toft Road by the BMW garage. The closure led to slow traffic in the area. No further details have been given by police at this stage on the condition of the pedestrian.
Police said in an initial update: "Alert: we are on scene at a collision involving a car and a pedestrian at the Rosebery Avenue area of Boston. The road is closed from the junction with Sleaford Road to Brother Toft Road by the BMW garage. Please avoid the area."
Traffic information service Inrix said: "Road closed and slow traffic due to crash on A52 Sleaford Road both ways between Welland Road and South Parade.
