Bus catches fire on Wellington motorway
Photo: Supplied / Waka Kotahi Fire and Emergency have responded to a Metlink bus fire on the urban motorway north of Wellington.
The crash is blocking two northbound right lanes of the road just before the State Highway 1 and State Highway 2 split. A FENZ spokesperson said crews assisted ambulance with the bus that was on fire. They were unable to say how many people were on the bus.
Motorists are advised to reduce speed and pass with care.
UPDATE 9:45AMThe crash is now BLOCKING two northbound right lanes on SH1 Urban MWY before the SH1/SH2 split.
