‘Call for a possible DUI in progress’ as woman drove off led to her arrest, police say
LITITZ, Pa. (TND) -- A woman in Pennsylvania was arrested for DUI and police said they knew about her before they even saw her, or her driving. Sunday, just after midnight, they got "a call for a possible DUI in progress. "It was reported that she was at a retail establishment and could hardly complete the transaction," police said.
Calling the police may have been the next best thing when nobody could stop her. The caller also had her license plate, which police said came back to Kathryne Lessig Jeffreys of Lititz, but she wasn't arrested at home. She was found in Warwick Township.
Officers did not report a crash, but they investigated Jeffreys for DUI and found her to have 0.171% breath alcohol content.
Jeffreys, 37, was charged with DUI and having breath alcohol content of 0.16% or higher.
