Car flipped on side of Lowfield Road in Reading Caversham
An onlooker said that the car was driven by a young male who exceeded the speed limit of 30 miles per hour and that there was a harsh scream of breaking before the impact sound. He also said that the driver was uninjured and that no other vehicle was involved. The fire service is currently at the scene and is engaged in traffic control.
On a Facebook post detailing the accident, locals took to the comment section to air their grievances about reckless driving. One member of the public said “I’m really struggling to see how people are rolling cars both on 30mph roads.” In agreement with the previous comment, another resident wrote “This is why we need traffic calming on Lowfield lower part of the road.
“Kids cross to go to school along that road and one of them is mine to get a bus.”
