CCTV appeal after man, 81, found with serious head injuries at Durham Railway Station

A pensioner was found with serious injuries outside a County Durham train station on New Year’s Eve. John Jackson, 81, was found at Durham Railway Station[1] on the morning of December 31 with head injuries. He was taken to hospital where he currently remains.

Officers from Durham City CID[2] are carrying out an investigation to establish the cause of his injuries and would like to speak to anyone who may have seen him prior to his arrival at the station. He is believed to have walked from his home in Belmont to the station. They are also appealing for any next of kin to come forward.
