Child rushed to hospital after Fagley Road, Bradford crash
The collision happened on Fagley Road, near its junction with Leeds Road/Gain Lane and Intake Road.[1] West Yorkshire[2] Police was called to the scene by the ambulance service at 4.28pm who were responding to a report of a crash involving a child pedestrian. A spokesperson for the force said the child was taken to hospital to be checked over.
The road was partially blocked both ways while the crash was resolved and this caused heavy traffic in the area.[3] Two bus services – the 686, serving between Brighouse and Fagley, and the 687, serving between Scholes Towngate and Fagley – were also having to divert. But the road was cleared by 5.51pm, according to First West Yorkshire.
A full statement from West Yorkshire Police said: “At 4.28pm, police were called by the ambulance service who were responding to a report of a collision involving a child pedestrian on Fagley Road, Bradford.
“The pedestrian was taken to hospital to be checked over and the road was reopened a short time later.”
