Cleveland woman dies on New Years from car wreck injuries

9 hours ago COLLEGEDALE, Tenn. (WDEF) -- A woman involved in a wreck last week has died from her injuries, according to Collegedale Police. Cleveland native Martha Clarie Burns, 93, died on New Years' morning at a local hospital.

The crash happened at the intersection of Apison Pike and McDonald Road in Collegedale. It happened just after 9:30 a.m. on December 28.

Burns was driving the Ford Escort. She died due to her injuries from the wreck. Collegedale officers are continuing to investigate.

However, they do not expect any charges to be filed.
