The incident took place at about 6pm when a motorcyclist is understood to have come off their vehicle about 50 metres away from the junction between Ipswich Road and Upland Drive. Ipswich-bound traffic was stopped at about 6.20pm, at which point there were two ambulances and one police car at the scene. A second police car arrived about ten minutes later as officers then cordoned off the road in both directions.
