Cordon in place as police probe serious crash on busy road

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “Drivers are being advised that a stretch of road in Roundhay in Leeds will be closed for a period of time today as part of a police investigation. “Police are carrying out a reconstruction in relation to a collision that occurred yesterday outside the Tesco store on Roundhay Road, Leeds. “A section of the road will be cordoned off from the junction of Gledhow Wood Road to the entrance of the Wickes store from approximately 11.15am.

“The cordon is expected to be in place for a few hours and officers apologise for any disruption caused.

“Motorists are urged to seek alternative routes while police work is conducted, and police will endeavour to re-open the stretch of road as soon as possible.”
