Crash on A442 Hallow leaves car on roof in ditch

The vehicle had come off the A443 in Hallow and the driver had managed to get out by the time firefighters arrived at the scene. A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said two crews from Worcester Fire Station were called at 4.09pm on December 31. “The incident involved one vehicle which was on its roof in a ditch,” he said. “No persons were trapped but crews were unable to make the vehicle safe.

“One person had self-extricated from the vehicle before the arrival of the fire service and was handed over to the care of the ambulance service. “One carriageway was blocked by ambulance and police, who were both in attendance.” A West Mercia Police spokeswoman said: “We were called to the A443 in Hallow shortly after 4pm on Sunday, December 31 following a single-vehicle collision.

“Nobody was injured and no arrests were made.”
