Crash on WIS 23 in Fond du Lac County leaves one with severe injuries

FOND DU LAC COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - One man suffered severe injuries as a result of a two-vehicle crash on WIS 23 in Fond du Lac County on the morning of Jan.

At approximately 9 a.m., the Wisconsin State Patrol responded to a crash that occurred on State Highway 23 west of County Road W in Fond du Lac County. The State Patrol found that a semi-truck traveling west collided with a tractor, sending both vehicles into the ditch.

The semi-truck was driven by a 53-year-old man from Baraboo. He was transported to a Fond du Lac County hospital and is expected to survive his injuries.

The tractor was driven by a 62-year-old man from Mount Cavalry.

He was transported to a Neenah hospital with severe injuries.

The names of the drivers have not yet been released and the crash is still under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.

Assisting agencies included Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office, Mount Calvary Fire Department, Mount Calvary First Responders, Mount Calvary Ambulance, City of Fond du Lac Rescue, Fond du Lac County Highway Department, and ThedaStar Helicopter.
