Drink-drive arrest in Tamworth after Ford Kuga bollard crash

A woman was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a crash in Tamworth[1]. A woman was seen driving ‘dangerously’ on the B5000 Glascote Road in the Staffordshire[2] town on Monday, January 15, police said. A 58-year-old driver was detained on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol.

She remained in custody on Tuesday, January 16. Staffordshire Police[3] appealed for witnesses to come forward. Officers were also keen to hear from anyone with footage of the incident.

A spokesperson said: “A woman has been arrested following a collision in Tamworth. We went to Glascote Road just after 3.30pm on Monday, January 15, after a Ford Kuga was seen driven dangerously in the area. “The car then collided with a bollard.

A 58-year-old woman, from Tamworth, was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.
