The clash started at the junction outside the Orbital Shopping Park at around 2.30pm on Tuesday, January 9.
A grey Lexus swerved in front of a grey Nissan Qashqai and a man jumped out of the Lexus and punched the windscreen of the Nissan. The victim then tried to drive away but the offender proceeded to chase them in his car. After reaching the Blunsdon Arms junction, the vehicles clashed wing mirrors before both vehicles continued up Thamesdown Drive.
Heading towards Blunsdon, the victim reports that the other driver repeatedly tried to ram their vehicle. This continued along the Northbound A419 as far as the Castle Eaton turn-off before the driver of the Lexus turned around. Police say that the offender was described as a white man in his late 50s or early 50s who had a beard and was wearing a grey jumper.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “Did you witness a road rage incident on Thamesdown Drive on Tuesday afternoon? If so, we need to talk to you please. “We need to hear from anyone who saw what happened, especially if they have dashcam footage of the events.
