‘Drunk driver ran away in one shoe’ after crash and spent Hogmanay in jail

Crashed car (Image: Police Scotland) A driver has allegedly run away wearing only one shoe after a car crash in Glasgow. Police were called to the incident on the M8 motorway in Shieldhall on Hogmanay.

Nobody was injured. The motorist was allegedly drunk and attempted to leave the scene of the collision, wearing only one trainer. Cops arrested and charged him and he was released pending a court appearance.
