East Lothian crash leaves one in hospital as emergency services race to the scene
A crash in East Lothian[1] on Friday morning saw a huge emergency services response on the scene. The incident, which involved a van and a car, was reported at around 8am. It's understood that "at least" three fire units were on the scene, as well as four ambulance units and a police presence.
Police Scotland[2] confirmed one person has since been taken to hospital[3]. Recovery has also been arranged for the vehicles involved.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of a crash involving a van and a car on the A6093 near the junction with Ormiston Road around 8am on Friday, 12 January.

A witness at the scene told Edinburgh Live: "Three fire units, at least, are in attendance and at least four ambulance units.
"One ambulance has left about 10 mins ago with blue's and two's on." A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were alerted at 8.04am on Friday, 12 January to reports of a road traffic collision involving a bus, van and car at A6093 near Ormiston.

"Firefighters extricated one casualty and passed them into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service, two other people were also treated on scene.
"Crews left after ensuring the area was made safe."
The Scottish Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
