Emergency crews rescue one casualty after three vehicle crash

Police had shut the section of road at the Junction A681 and the A59 (Image: Google) A crash involving three vehicles and seven people closed a road in a Whalley. The incident happened just before 7pm on Wiswell Lane on Saturday (January 13).

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said two fire engines from Hyndburn[1] and Clitheroe attended the crash. The incident involved three vehicles and seven people, the fire service said. Firefighters worked with paramedics to release one person from a vehicle using cutting equipment and a longboard.

Crews remained at the scene for around 50 minutes.

Police had earlier shut the section of road at the Junction A681 and the A59 for the evening.
