Emergency services rush to Glasgow south side crash as road cordoned off
Emergency services rushed to a crash in Glasgow’s south side[1] on Tuesday evening. Police[2] and fire services were both seen in attendance at the scene at the corner of Shields Road and Albert Drive following the crash at around 5.15pm this evening. Images from the scene show a severely damage car, with the road cordoned off by police officers following the smash.
The extent of injuries is not currently known at this time.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service[5] (SFRS) confirmed they were in attendance, stating that no one was in the involved vehicles by the time of their arrival. An SFRS spokesperson said: “We were in attendance at the scene this evening.
“We received the call at 5.18pm for the incident on Shields Road. We left the scene at 6.10pm. “Two appliances were sent to the scene.
No one was in the vehicles when we arrived.”
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
