Emmerdale legend opens up on soap future after exit rumour

An Emmerdale legend has opened up about their future following rumours of a possible exit. Emma Atkins[1] first started playing Charity Dingle back in 2000 and has been involved in some major storylines. The latest saw the 48-year-old's character kill off Damon Harris - also known as Harry.

As reported by the Metro[2], Emma has discussed the possible threat of being axed from the soap at the end of this major ongoing storyline. Emma explained: "You can never really be fearful of these things, because if my time at Emmerdale has come to an end, then I will always be okay because that's my job, I've chosen to be an actor. You just sort of go with the flow.

I did think at one point, "Oh, God, my character has now killed'." As always, we'll keep you posted of the latest comings and goings in the village.
