Essex Police officer charged with ABH after off-duty incident

Essex Police was called to reports of an assault in Moulsham Street at about 4.45am on Thursday, August 10. Police Constable Tyler Pittaway, 29, of Vermont Close, Basildon, was arrested and subsequently charged with causing actual bodily harm. He is on bail and will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates on January 5.

An Essex Police spokesman said: “The officer has been suspended from duty.”
