The incident happened at around 5.15pm on Wednesday, January 3, on Rochester Road, near the junction with Laker Road, in Chatham[2]. His mum Michelle Parslow has since paid tribute to her youngest son, Liam.

Speaking to KentOnline, the 47-year-old said: “Liam was generous, he would do anything for anybody. If one of his friends or family needed help he would do what he could for them.

“Out of all my children, he was the most determined. He would always tell me he would buy his own house and own his own scaffolding company.

“He loved his job, he never wanted to take a day off. He knew what he wanted out of life.

“His life was work and his daughter. He was a well-mannered, caring, loving and devoted dad.”

Liam, from Bull Lane, Eccles, near Aylesford, leaves behind his two-year-old daughter Daisy. Michelle added: “If he was not at work, he was with her.

“She was his priority. She was his everything.

“He loved his daughter so much, she was his whole world. Nothing came between him and her.

His older sister Demi Louise Dixon, 23, added: “She would follow him everywhere, grabbing onto his leg. Daisy was his whole world.” Liam, who also had three older brothers on his mum’s side, attended Aylesford School before studying construction at MidKent College.

Floral tributes, balloons, photos, and a hi-vis jacket signed by his work colleagues at Elite Scaffolding have been laid at the crash site.

One read: “R.I.P Scaff, you will be missed.”
