Grantham: Man, 74, arrested over town assault

A man in his 60s was left with serious injuries following the incident in Grantham, police say A 74-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault after a man in his 60s was left with serious injuries. Lincolnshire Police said the incident happened at about 09:15 GMT on Sunday in Harrowby Lane, Grantham.

The younger man was taken to hospital with “serious, not life threatening” injuries, according to a force spokesperson. He has since been discharged. The suspect remained in police custody.

Witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV is asked to contact police.
