Hay, NSW, crash: Woman and man killed after car collides with truck

A woman and a man have died after a car collided with a truck.

The two vehicles crashed on the Sturt Highway near Hay, in the New South Wales[2] western Riverina region, at about 5.10pm on Monday.

The 71-year-old man driving the sedan and his female front passenger, who has not been identified, both died at the scene.

A man and a 23-year-old woman in the back of the car were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The 27-year-old driver of the truck was treated for minor injuries and has undergone mandatory testing.

A crime scene has been established.
