Hollyoaks spoilers reveal ‘bad news’ for Joel Dexter’s family after horror crash on Channel 4 soap

Hollyoaks[1]‘ Joel Dexter’s life is still on the line next week, after the horror crash that left him in peril. In recent scenes, firefighter Joel raced to the scene to rescue those injured in a deadly car pile-up, including his ex Cleo McQueen and his father Warren Fox. But in a tragic twist, Joel was hit by a truck at full speed as he crossed the road.

Joel was left in a coma with it not known what his fate will be. Joel is yet to discover his half-sister Ella Richardson was killed in the crash, seemingly run over by Ste Hay who found one of her red boots lodged into one of the front wheels of his car. Fans are hoping Joel will survive the ordeal, given his mother Marie is soon joining the show.

But new spoilers reveal Joel is still in a bad way next week, a week on from the crash.

His pregnant girlfriend Leela Lomax breaks down at his bedside next week, as she struggles to cope. Begging him to wake up, there’s panic when his lung begins to collapse. His ex Cleo is there and manages to help him, resulting in the love rivals clearing the air.

Later, Leela finds an engagement ring with Joel’s belongings – with fans knowing he planned to propose on the day of the accident. But her hope is possibly shattered, when doctor Sharon Bailey pays her a visit and brings bad news. She confirms that Joel is not recovering as well as they hoped he would – but will he pull through?

Joel’s sister Ella wasn’t the only fatality of the crash or the big episode. An unnamed character was killed, while a new character that was with her fled the scene. Elsewhere, Rafe Harcourt was killed off in a twist on his wedding day to Sienna Blake, seemingly killed by his secret wife Dilly Harcourt.
