Horror weekend in London after shooting, stabbing and fatal crash
This only includes incidents that Newsquest London is aware of and has reported on. The weekend of January 12 saw a string of incidents in Brixton and Hounslow. Information about each incident is from the Metropolitan Police.
Four left injured after Brixton gunfight and stabbing[1] A woman and three men were left injured in a fight in Brixton. Police were called to reports of gunshots fired in Coldharbour Lane just after 5am on January 14.
Officers attended and found a woman with gunshot injuries – she was taken to hospital by ambulance. Three men self-presented at hospital, one with gunshot injuries, one who had been stabbed, and one assaulted. Two of the four have been discharged from hospital.
The woman and the man who had been assaulted remain in hospital. There has been no arrest at this stage. Man in his 60s dies after crash with car in Hounslow[2]
A man in his 60s has died after a crash in Hounslow. The incident between a pedestrian and a car happened in Springwell Road just before 2.30pm on January 12. Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found the pedestrian, a man, injured.
He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.
Police are working to inform his next of kin.
There have been no arrests.
