Police dismantled a cannabis farm in Blackburn (Image: Police) A cannabis farm, with an estimated street value of around GBP150,000, has been dismantled in Blackburn[1]. Officers found dozens of plants growing at an address in Bolton Road today (January 9).

One person was arrested. A police spokesperson said: “Your Blackburn with Darwen[2] task force have had a productive afternoon today. “We were provided with information of a possible cannabis set-up within an address on Bolton Road in Blackburn.

“The team literally followed their noses and found the address growing dozens of mature plants within a sophisticated set-up, worth in the region of GBP150,000 at street value. “One professional ‘gardener’ was arrested at the address and will be dealt with for the relevant offences. “The plants have all been seized and will be destroyed, so to pre-empt the classic comments – no these are not ‘still available’.

“We will always act on any information you provide to us, so if you’re aware of any drug taking, production or supply in your area then please let us know.

“We can be contacted through the normal channels, or via our email on [email protected].”
