Our road checks on Saturday identified a number of potential witnesses who had not previously spoken to officers. “I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, the motorbike prior to the crash or who has any other information which could assist to come forward.

I am also appealing to the motorbike rider to do the right thing and come forward.”

Anyone with information that could assist officers is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2984 of Sunday, 31 December, 2023.
