Indiana Jones actor’s tragic three word message to fans before horror crash killed his two daughters
Indiana Jones actor Christian Oliver shared a tragic three-word message with his fans days before he and his two children were killed in a plane crash. The 51-year-old American actor, whose real name is Christian Klepser, died after an aircraft crashed into waters of Bequia in St Vincent on Thursday. His two young daughters, Madita, 10, and Annik, 12, were also killed, as well as the plane's pilot Robert Sachs.
Christian's ex-wife and mother to their two girls, Jessica Muroz, has yet to make a statement about the harrowing loss. The two are thought to be separated, the Mirror[1] reports, with online records suggesting the actor had filed for divorce in December 2021. As well as featuring in the latest Indiana Jones movie, Christian appeared in other big films including Speed Racer and Valkyrie. He was also known for his long stint on cult teen comedy series Saved by the Bell: The New Class, from 1995. The fatal plane crash, which was captured on camera, happened after the aircraft took off from F Mitchell Airport in the direction of nearby St Lucia.
Pilot Robert Sachs owned the plane but it is still unclear what caused the crash, according to police. "Moments after taking off, the aircraft experienced difficulties and plummeted into the ocean," the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force said in a statement. "Fishermen and divers from Paget Farm went to the scene of the incident in their boats to render assistance," it added. Local reports suggest that pilot Sachs radioed the tower shortly after take-off to tell them he was experiencing trouble, however that was said to be the last communication.
All four bodies have been recovered. Christian's final Instagram post, made just days earlier on New Year's Day, showed a beach sunset, alongside a heartfelt message to his fans. It said: "Let love rule.
Wishing you all the best for 2024." In the caption, he added: "Greetings from somewhere in paradise. To community and love...
2024 here we come!"
