Katie Price fined £400 for speeding with ‘expired’ driving licence

Katie Price has been fined almost GBP400 for speeding while driving with an “expired” licence – weeks after ban. Katie, 45, broke the 70mph limit on a dual carriageway in a black Infiniti FX50, according to fresh reports on Tuesday (January 16, today). A court charge sheet stated she “is the holder of an expired substantive driving licence”.

The offences happened on July 13 last year – three months after her December 2021 ban was lifted. She was clocked breaking the limit by manned equipment on the A417 near South Cerney, Gloucestershire. The former glamour model, who used to go by the nickname of Jordan, was given three penalty points for the speeding offence and fined GBP220.

The 45-year-old ITV[1] I’m A Celebrity[2] alum was also ordered to pay an GBP88 victim surcharge and costs of GBP90.

Sussex Police said: “Officers responded to a report of a motorist driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and driving without insurance at Sompting Road roundabout, Worthing, shortly before 6pm on Friday, July 21. “A 45-year-old woman was spoken to, and a Range Rover was seized under Section 165(a) of the Road Traffic Act.” Mum-of-five Katie was banned from driving for two years in December 2021 but was not ordered to take an extended driving test before getting back behind the wheel.

She completed a drink drive reduction course, reducing the disqualification of 24 months by 24 weeks.

In September 2021, Katie was involved in a one-car traffic accident that saw her BMW car flipped on a country road after she got behind the wheel under the influence, without insurance and whilst under a driving ban.

She admitted drink-driving while disqualified and without insurance after the crash near her home in Sussex, where her Mucky Mansion – which is situated in Horsham – is located.
