Lanarkshire man ‘attacked’ by balaclava-clad gang in frightening robbery attempt
A probe has been launched after a man was ‘attacked’ by four balaclava-clad men at a property in Airdrie[1] last night. Officers[2] were called to the Dykehead Crescent area of the town at around 10.05pm on Monday, January 8, following reports of the break-in. It is believed the gang[3], who were wearing dark clothing, had intended to rob the man.
Fortunately, he was unhurt following the incident.
Police are asking anyone who has information to come forward and assist with their enquires. Detective Sergeant Craig Jeffrey said: “Fortunately no-one was injured, and our enquiries are ongoing.
We are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything, or who has private or dash-cam footage of the area at the time, to contact us.”
