Live: Crash closes road near Okehampton both ways as delays build

People around Devon are waking up to frost and ice this morning (January 7) as temperatures plummet. Motorists have been urged to be careful due to treacherous conditions on the roads. According to traffic monitoring site Inrix, there are delays on the A61 in Ashford, North Devon, due to ice.
People have been advised to approach the area with care. There are also delays on the A386 Narratons Road, Okehampton, due to ice on the road. The Met Office is expecting widespread icy conditions to develop tonight.
Forecasters then expect some snow to fall across the South West tomorrow (January 8) before clearing the following day.
