Live: M5 crash closes lane near Bridgwater as drivers warned to ‘approach with care’

The M5 has fully reopened after a crash near Bridgwater this afternoon. According to Inrix, the road cleared by around 1.30pm. Drivers have been told to ‘approach with care’ after reports of a crash on the M5 near Bridgwater.

One lane is closed on the southbound exit slip road at junction 23, according to traffic monitor Inrix. The collision was first reported at around 12.25pm today (January 1). Inrix reports: “M5 Southbound lane closed on exit slip road due to accident at J23 A39 (Bridgwater North).
