LIVE: Police close busy road in Manchester after serious crash

Police have closed off part of a busy road in Manchester city centre this morning after a crash. A stretch of Princess Street is currently shut between Granby Row and Whitworth Street, according to traffic alert service Inrix. A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said officers were called to reports of a crash between a motorbike and a car.

A tweet posted by Stagecoach said: "Route 50. Due to a Police incident on Princess Street, the service will divert heading towards #EastDidsbury[2] via Whitworth Street, Oxford Road and Charles Street. Sorry if this is affecting your journey with us today."
