Live: St Werburghs road cordoned off after overnight fires

Police statement

Avon and Somerset Police said: “We were called at 2:10am by the fire service to reports of multiple fires in the St Werburghs area of Bristol. Officers attended to support firefighters with seven fires in Eastgate Road, York Street, Narroways Road and Glenfrome Road, which are being treated as linked and as arson. “Four of the fires were in bins, one was at an electricity substation and two involved vehicles.

Officers have been conducting enquiries in the area this morning.
