The M62 is partially closed after a police car flipped onto its side. Emergency services were called to the M62 eastbound at junction five, Roby Road, just after 3pm on Tuesday, January 2, following reports of a crash. Once at the scene firefighters found one car on it’s side on a grass embankment.

Two people were in the vehicle when it crashed, but were able to get themselves out of the car before emergency services arrived. The motorway was initially completely closed eastbound as Merseyside Police, the fire service and the North West Ambulance Service attended.
